Ben has 20 years of experience working with development finance, sustainability, and capital markets in the public sector with the UN and World Bank Group as well as the private sector with SEB. He has a background in product innovation within local currency and sustainable finance (helping to the development of the green and social bond concept in emerging markets) as well as a track record of leading global treasury teams. In recent years, Ben was treasurer of UN agency IFAD, leading the institution through two credit rating processes, establishing its borrowing program as well as liquidity management policies, investment guidelines and other essential financial architecture. He was previously head of funding for IFC (the private sector arm of the World Bank) managing its debt issuance program of up to USD15bn per annum. Ben is currently at SEB with focus on the integration of sustainability and finance, in particular advising corporates, financials and governmental institutions on how to integrate climate and societal challenges into their financing and engage with investors to achieve ambitious and material targets
