Fergus Blackstock
Fergus Blackstock is head of funding, liquidity and collateral in group treasury at Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Australia’s largest listed company. Fergus is responsible for CBA’s wholesale funding strategy, products and execution as well as the group treasury collateral function. The group’s wholesale funding includes commercial paper and certificates of deposit, senior, covered bond and RMBS issuance via the Medallion Trust, Sustainable bond issuance as well as execution of Tier 2 capital transactions. Fergus joined group treasury in 2018 from UBS where he was a managing director and head of debt capital markets for Australasia. Fergus has over 25 years of experience in debt capital markets having begun his career in debt capital markets in London with HSBC in 1998. Fergus holds a masters degree in French and Business Studies from Edinburgh University.
