Florian Eichert joined Citigroup Global Markets Europe in August 2026 as an MD and market strategist on the SSA and covered bond trading desk. Prior to this, he headed CA CIB’s covered bond and SSA research team for 16 years from London and Frankfurt. In this role, he won the ‘Best Covered Bond Research’ category at the GlobalCapital Covered Bond Awards for a total of twelve times, with the latest one coming in 2025. That same year, he and his team also took home the award for most impressive SSA research at the Global Capital Bond Awards, the first time this category was on the list. Florian has been a member of the steering committee of the European Covered Bond Council since 2015, is the current chairman of the ECBC’s investor task force and also served as chairman of the data and statistics working group for eight years.
