Michael is responsible for advising Austrian and German financials on debt capital market activities. In 2022, Michael was awarded as runner-up for most impressive FIG origination banker. Moreover, after having also covered European SSAs in DCM between 2020 and 2023, Michael switched roles and took over a senior role on Citi’s FIG syndicate desk last year. Before taking on his current role in syndicate/DCM, Michael was heading SSA and covered bond research until 2020 which he started building up when he joined Citi in 2013. Michael consistently ensured top rankings by GlobalCapital and Institutional Investor for his SSA and covered bond research output. Michael holds a Msc degree in economics from Lund University in Sweden.
