Morten Keil is Head of Covered Bonds at Nordea, with responsibility for the bank's Nordic covered bond funding programmes, including issuance strategy, regulatory developments, and covered bond market engagement. He has extensive experience across treasury, funding, and liquidity management, having worked with balance sheet optimisation, liquidity risk, wholesale funding, and regulatory liquidity frameworks for more than 15 years. In his current role, Morten leads Nordea's covered bond activities across the Nordic markets and works closely with investors, regulators, rating agencies, and industry bodies on topics related to covered bonds, sustainable finance, and capital markets development. He played a key role in Nordea's inaugural EU Green Bond Standard (EuGB) covered bond issuance and is actively involved in industry discussions on the future of covered bonds, sustainable funding, and regulatory change. Morten is a frequent contributor to market and industry forums, representing Nordea in dialogue with issuers, investors, policymakers, and other stakeholders across the European covered bond market.
