Niek Allon is since June 2020 Head of Treasury at NN Bank. NN Bank is the fifth largest retail bank in
the Netherlands and part of NN Group. The bank is a frequent issuer of covered bonds and
unsecured funding. Previously Niek worked for over 23 years at NIBC Bank, where he performed
several roles within treasury, structuring, syndicate and distribution. In his career he has gained
extensive experience in issuing and structuring covered bonds, senior unsecured, RMBS and
structured finance transactions. From 2017 until 2020 Niek acted as Chairman of the European
Covered Bond Council (ECBC). Currently he chairs the Investor Task Force of the ECBC. Niek received
his master’s degree in business administration from Groningen University and is a registered
treasurer (VU University Amsterdam).
