Oscar Mgaya is the chief executive officer of Tanzania Mortgage Refinance Company (TMRC) since April 2013. Oscar joined TMRC in January 2011 as chief operating officer. Oscar has over 20 years of commercial real estate and financial services experience. Before joining TMRC, Oscar was director of real estate for Limited Brands in the United States. Oscar previously also worked for JP Morgan Chase, General Electric Company and Merrill Lynch. Oscar received both his bachelor of arts degree in finance and management, as well as his masters of arts degree in management from Walsh University in the United States. He is the chairman of the International Secondary Mortgage Market Association (ISMMA). Oscar is also a board chairman of the Association of Tanzania Employers (ATE). Oscar is a former board chairman of the African Union for Housing Finance (AUHF) Board of Directors. Oscar is also a former member of the executive committee of the International Union for Housing Finance (IUHF).
