Peter Walker is Senior Vice President and Treasurer at Fairstone Bank, where he leads the Treasury function and oversees teams in Toronto and Montreal. A member of the bank’s leadership team, he is responsible for funding, liquidity, capital markets, and balance sheet management, helping support Fairstone’s strategic growth and transformation. Prior to joining Fairstone in 2025, Peter held senior Treasury and Capital Markets leadership roles at two of Canada’s largest financial institutions. Most recently, he served as Head of Global Corporate Funding at BMO Financial Group (2023–2025), where he led the bank’s wholesale term funding and capital issuance programs across global markets. Before BMO, Peter spent 14 years with TD Bank Group in a variety of senior Treasury and Capital Markets roles. His experience included serving as Regional Head, Europe & Asia-Pacific, TD Securities, where he led the execution of TD’s Brexit strategy, as well as Head of Liquidity and Funding, TD Treasury, with responsibility for the bank’s liquidity and funding activities.
