Sabrina Miehs joined the vdp in July 2024. As head of sustainable finance, she has a cross-divisional role, with responsibility for the area of sustainable finance and for strengthening the vdp’s activities at European level in cooperation with the Brussels office. Ms Miehs previously worked for Helaba for 11 years. Most recently, she was a senior advisor in the sustainable finance advisory team and Head of FI and SSA Research. From 2013, she built up the Landesbank's covered bond research. Before joining Helaba, she
worked for Standard & Poor's for ten years, first as a rating analyst for European securitisations, then as a covered bond rating analyst and head of the German and deputy
head of the European covered bond team. During this time, she was involved in the development of rating methodologies. Prior to joining S&P, Ms Miehs gained experience in
bank balance sheet analysis and foreign trade financing as a credit analyst at BHF-Bank. Ms. Miehs began her career after training as a banker at Frankfurter Sparkasse, where she
worked in various departments. Ms Miehs holds a degree in Business Administration from the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in Frankfurt and a masters degree in Engineering in Banking, Finance and Insurance from the Université de Caen.
