Shanx heads BMO Capital Market’s FIG DCM syndicate business. Shanx is based in London and joined BMO in May 2023 from Credit Suisse to run their FIG DCM syndicate franchise helping originate and execute primary market bond transactions. Shanx also covers BMO’s global clients who issue fixed income transactions in European markets. Shanx and his team cover issuers and investors providing advisory services, including liability management, rating agency management and the development of bespoke derivatives for use in secured funding programmes. Before joining BMO, Shanx was head of EMEA FIG syndicate at Credit Suisse where he spent nearly 8 years managing a market leading franchise working on transactions for FIG borrowers globally. He also had various roles before Credit Suisse with Nomura where he spent nearly 5 years across M&A, DCM, short end trading and syndicate. Shanx holds a bachelors degree in management sciences from the London School of Economics.
